Another creative day at Dementia-friendly Alton yesterday - with the crisp and frosty weather we were inspired to recycle bottles thrown out after the recent festivities - and don't they look stunning .

We were also pleased to be joined by a student nurse from University of Portsmouth who is undertaking part of their Absolute Healthcare placement time with us over the next three weeks. Our members always welcome a new face - especially when it's a young one!! The student nurse also gained a lot from the opportunity as to quote - 'this is an ideal opportunity to see how it is possible to live well with Dementia - this clearly means so much to those attending - and it helps me to see how we can more effectively communicate and support those with dementia who need to come into hospital' - such great news for us and so pleased to be able to support nurse training in this way - that's what you call a WIN WIN
