What a busy week we've had! Working on the allotment on Tuesday, making Easter treats Wednesday and Friday was singing and a taster sports session in the simulation room at Energique. Our volunteers have also been working hard to get our new hall ready with the help of Alton Men's Shed .
Last week we had our first day for members at Edgar Hall when we launched PACE - Prioritising Activity, Companionship and Empowerment. We started with a walk around Anstey Park then had a Skittles tournament in the newly painted hall. We have a busy schedule of activities ahead - at least one activity most days!
Do come and visit us at our new venue, Edgar Hall, Anstey Park, which we are sharing with Alton Men's Shed.
Our new venture - PACE - Prioritising Activity, Companionship and Empowerment - is a health and well being programme for men who may need a little encouragement and support to be more active. Being delivered in partnership with Alton Mens Shed the 'easy access' to exercise and social activity will make a significant difference to men newly diagnosed with dementia as well as male carers. More details to follow next week regarding exact timetable - do hope you can join us - we have all of the following to become possible soon!
  • Walking football
  • Guided walks / Forest bathing
  • Swim sessions
  • Tailored gym sessions
  • Golf simulator
  • Board games and darts
  • Horticulture activities

Find us next to Energique Gym, Anstey Lane, Alton GU34 2NB - no need to pre-book, just turn up!

Keep an eye on the website for an update on events.
