Supporting Dementia-Friendly Communities

As a flagship Dementia Support Hub for the region, our membership reaches as far as Alresford, Farnham and Basingstoke, with a programme for sharing best practice and research dissemination across Hampshire and nearby counties.

Our Meeting Centre in Alton, is based at Alton Assembly Rooms, and is part of the UK Network of Meeting Centres.

We are delighted to welcome our new Patron, Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, a long-standing supporter of dementia-friendly initiatives. He looks forward to championing our work locally and nationally, and sharing the Alton Meeting Centre’s approach with others.

The Meeting Centre is open Monday to Friday each week from 1000 – 1600 (FREE to attend). Our varied programme of weekly activities offers something for everyone – see ‘What We Do’ to find out more about our regular weekly programme, with dates for all courses, monthly sessions, special ‘open sessions’ and charity fundraising events highlighted in the calendar below.

Pop in for a chat and a cuppa, Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm or if you would prefer to make an appointment then please Book a Visit

It’s a Wrap! Video of our latest Production ‘Remember When…….our review of 75 Years’. For those of you who missed this heart-warming co-production with Alton Operatic Dramatic Society – it was so much fun – and we wouldn’t want you to miss out – so grab your popcorn, put your feet up in a comfy chair and enjoy the memories and laughs along the way.
