What's NEW for 2025 at Dementia-friendly Alton

Wellbeing Wednesday - an inclusive horticulture therapy session for ALL - meeting at the Sensory Garden in the Town Park from 11-12 every Wednesday - see poster below

Carer Support Session with Havant and East Hants MIND and Dementia-friendly Alton - first Friday of the month from 10-12 - see poster below

Care Conversations Cafe - an evening Carer Support sessions - held twice a month on Wednesday evening (2nd and 4th in the month) 1800 - 1930 - a collaborative offering from Dementia-friendly Alton, Home Instead and Alton Place

NUTURE Programme - Social and support group for Young Onset Dementia - meeting at Alice Holt on the third Thursday of the month - see poster below

CARERS Exercise Session - every Wednesday from 1-2 pm at Alton Assembly Rooms - while the 'person cared for' can join the local members for a cuppa and chat - see poster below (just £3.00 to attend)

NEUROACTIVE CHAIROBICS - last Wednesday of the month from 3-4 pm - see poster below (just £3.00 to attend)

Founded in 2014, Dementia-friendly Alton coordinates and delivers a comprehensive range of support sessions and services for people living with dementia and their carers. Based in the iconic Alton Assembly Rooms and open five days a week for 'drop-in' advice, alongside the variety of groups activities (see programme above).
