Inspired by the true story of a disillusioned Englishman who went to work in a private school in pre-revolutionary Argentina in 1976. Expecting an easy ride, Tom (Steve Coogan) discovers a divided nation, an overbearing head teacher (Jonathan Pryce) and a class of challenging pupils. However, after he rescues an orphaned penguin from an oil-slicked beach, trying to impress a woman, his personal and political life is transformed.
